The only fuel service provided in Malta is Enemed, a government owned company. Fuel trucks are available on stand-by, for both AVGAS and JET A1.

Permits & Visa Procurement

Should you require any assistance to procure a Visa, we are able to help and guide you accordingly through the required formalities.

Malta is a member of the European Union, and of Schengen Country, thus if you are resident of any country that is member of any of these, no VISA is required.

For the purposes of obtaining permits to overfly Malta’s territorial airspace or operate to/from Malta International Airport, it’s only necessary to provide some basic information – including the aircraft, captain, number of passengers, crew and itinerary. A request for permission to carry out such flights shall be submitted to the Duty Management Officer by not later than 72 hours before the intended flight. All other flights require a notification by flight plan.

Aircraft from EU/EASA member states with a valid EASA Form 20a Permit to Fly do not require overflight permits.

Flight Planning

Nevertheless we may assist you in your flight planning anytime, but on site at the Departure’s Lounge you can find an unattended flight planning office, but a 24/7 helpline is available.

On the airfield the Malta Air Traffic Services – Flight Planning Personnel will assist to your flight plan queries by phone.

We can e-mail or fax your flight plan from our offices, however shall you have any query please contact us on generalaviation@aviaserve.eu

In reference to any landing or overflight permits, we can assist too, so your questions are always welcome!
